My relevant works and self reflections

When encapsulating Montevallo Esports, I wanted to give a glimpse into every competing team, the intensity of each game and the accolades the team has received. While I don't think I could always accurately represent the in game highs and lows, the strength of this video lies in the people that are featured and how diverse the team is. 

It was a laborious process that took a ton of coordination with team members and their schedules, it also took a ton of bravery on my part to record footage on days where I didn't have the players I needed. 

Kami Con is a major event for Montevallo Esports as these are the biggest tournaments players will compete in during their college career. Beyond competing, it is a time for networking and holding community with like minded individuals. 

While I think I hit all the bases of what happens at the con from the Esports perspective, I wish I had more impactful interviews, along with more freedom to get diverse footage. 

This was a learning experience on what I need to look for when covering a big event and tackling it in a different way. I didn't want it to feel like a news package but moreso a docu-style recap that gives insight as to what Montevallo Esports does at a popular convention.

This is the first project I solo directed and it is to this date one of the most challenging and rewarding projects I've made. 

I'm used to doing it all for my films, writing, directing, cinematography, editing, acting,etc that focusing on one aspect was at first a challenge, but once I found where I could creatively shine as just a director, it allowed me to properly communicate with my cast and crew. 

One of my earlier college projects, but the one I'm the most proud of. I stared off in the digital filmmaking minor feeling lost and like a fraud, but this project is where I feel like I found my voice as a creative. It was honestly a mess to put together as I was spending late night filming, taking out scenes from the script and having my actors be camera operators because I was the main character. It's a film that's about my personal struggles with self isolation and a film where I feel like people started to take me seriously as a filmmaker.
